This is to give us a chance to learn and improve outside of games. This is open to anyone that is interested. Bring the gear you would bring to a game, if we have enough people we will do some live shooting scenarios with hostages. Please be ready to go at 5:30 sharp.

Work Day at the new BTT CQB Field

July 1st will be the first day at the new BTT CQB home field. We have 2 barns in Brunswick Hills. We have done quite a bit building rooms and breaching doors, but we still have some work to do including moving hay out of one coroner of one of the barns. We could use some help including a pickup truck for moving out trash and old hay. I will be starting at 1pm but your help is appreciated whatever time you can get there, I'll be there till 8pm or so. If we can get most of the stuff we need done I would like to spend some time at the end training on the new field so bring your gear up with you.

This will not be paintsoft field, or a large force on force field. This will be a scenario based tactical simulation field for players that are willing to role play and teams looking to train more like a SWAT team. More to come on our more unique game play style.

If you can make it out to help please use the contact link and let me know if you can bring a pickup truck, tools, plywood, or other building materials.

We have a BTT hosted game coming up this Friday the 18th, time 3pm to 8pm Weather looks like it will be exceptional and Gabe has made some improvements to the forts. Here is the AO link to the Game let me know if you don't have and AO account and are coming.
I have just put up new BTT documents check out the links on the right under BTT Documents. Now you can download and print the documents. Take a look at them, the Rules of Engagement are now updated (they still may have some typos, if you see anything that needs corrected or clarified let me know). Print out a Plan of Attack and write up your own game to try at our next game, were always looking for new games to try.

We had a great time at Conquest last Saturday, and are going back Sunday. They have a nice indoor field that is a lot more than just an open warehouse with barriers, We played on the first floor of an abandoned coffee plant complete with multiple rooms and lot of work put into making it an interesting place to play. They other guys there were a pleasure to play with. Looking to get a group to go back. It's not on AO but it is on there website Cost is $15, must have a waiver filled out, time is 10am -5pm. I'll be comming from work so I should be there by 10:30 - 10:45. See you there.

Gabes new weapons

I resently purchased three new guns. This was the first game for all my guns. I used my MP5 R.A.S , and I rented out my MP5-A4, and Shot gun. I didnt have any trouble with any of them, which was pleasing to know. I did run out of ammo quite a few times on the field. Becuase I only had a total of five magazines. Four standards and one hi-cap; I recently bought a speed loader. It holds 250 rounds and was very useful on the field. Using the speed loader I didnt run out, but I would still like to purchuse some more magazines. I am also going to get some more shells for my shot gun. Like caleb I also purchased two wire mesh Airsoft masks. They didnt fog at all, but like caleb said they are a little dark. I like the R.A.S but its not very powerful. I want to have a little of a power advantage over my opponets. I am going to keep my R.A.S as a rental and I am going to purchase a Classic Army GC36, it has 350 fps. It has a folding stock and I am going to add a 40mm cck silencer, a front rubber grip handle, upgraded 1-5 red dote scope, and a mini launcher on the side rail.

Wire Mesh Masks Firepower Full Face Mask

We got to use these for the first time this month. I like the idea of the wire mesh it is sturdy and will not fog. They do cause things to look a bit darker when the sun goes down. Other than that there were no complaints with these. I took the sun visor and lighter colored forehead piece off of my two masks. Gabe has two that still look like the ones in the picture.

A great alternative to the standard paintball mask. This was designed with airsoft players in mind. With a little pulling this can be taken apart if all you want is the goggles. They are sturdy and have a very good price. I personal like the look that they have and the face guard is great for protecting your ears and mouth. The only down side is that the wire seems to be painted black and with ware it can rub off to show a lighter colored metal below.

First Game of the year!

April 1st turned out to be a great day to play. The weather was back and forth with rain and sun for the week and the 1st's forecast but it turned out to be great. The ground was a little wet but other that that is was good wheather to play in. We ended up starting at two and had about 11 player show up. Not a bad day but it will be better when we have some leaves on the trees to hide behind. Thanks to all who showed up and hopefully we can do it again in May.
I don't have any pictures, the day was a bit overcast and it made it hard to get good pictures. Oh well next game I'll get some.

We used a lot of new gear this month. I will be posting some review of how some of the new toys worked out for this game in the comming week.

I recently bought 16 bags of 5,000 ct Stealth Ammo. That's 80,000 rounds! I sold a few bags and still have 10 left. This ammo is suppose to be just as good as Excel. I have not shot any yet but will keep every one updated on how it performs.

Airsoft Ohio Game at Intense Paintball

We went to Canton to play on the 15th at a paintball field with Airsoft Ohio. Myself, Pat OD, Gabe, Scott, Ben, and two of Gabe's friends went.

It was not all that I had hoped for. To start off we did not start playing until about 5:45pm and quit at 8:00pm the cost was $7.50 not really worth driving 50min out and 50min back paying $7.50 to only play for only two hrs.

The people there were not exatly former SF and USMC material. The average age was 13. I felt like I was playing with computer geeks that played paintball that had been given airsoft guns. One guy was almost offended that I did not know him by his AO(airsoft Ohio) screen name.

The field was a horrible mess I got paint all over my gear. It took my hours the next day cleaning all my gear. The place was quite small not really more than a speed ball ct. For the record I hate speed ball. How I long for the day when I have my own airsoft warehouse office bld. Complete with three stories, kick down doors, elevator shaft, zip lines, and crawl through air vents!

I was in shock when I found out that most of the games that they play are single fire no full auto allowed. I got away with some three to five round bursts but got yelled at a lot for it. I would not have gone if I had know about there single fire rule, it was posted nowhere on the game rules or info on the web.

On the small positive side we got to practice ammo conservation, and I got to shoot people that is about it.

This was a fun game with a medium turnout. Friday Night Game, our most successful days seem to be Sundays but to have more than one a month I wanted to try a night game.

It is all fun and games till someone gets shot in the eye. I don't have any after pictures but here he is.

(This is why players never take goggles off while on the field of play.) It was dark and our last game of the night. It was dark out by now and there were only two players left on the field. The rest of us at the base decided to just charge out on the field and take out the two left just to get in some last min. trigger time. We went running out into the field as a group and just started firing. After taking out at least one the guys left this became old fast and we stopped to group up and talk about the nights games. Derek not knowing that we were done was still out in the wood line, he opened up with is highly upgraded AEG on the huddle of dark shapes standing in the open field. We all turned to return fire. One unnamed person thinking that we were done playing took his goggles off to clean them. (the cool night with high humidity was wreaking havoc on the goggles.) I herd a cry of pain and turned to see him go down into a ball on the grass. At first we all thought he was just playing but after a few seconds of watching him writhe in pain I guessed what had happened. Derek felt awful but this was not his fault. The bb struck just on the upper eyelid. Some redness and swelling along with a welt were visible that night but it quickly healed. Thankfully no permanent damage was done this night. ALWAY WEAR YOUR EYE PROTECTION ON THE FEILD!!!!! it there any other way to say it?

Just a note: Airsoft carries with it a certain level of danger and a degree of health risk but not more than crossing the street, taking a walk in the woods or going for a run. The injuries and deaths percentages in Airsoft do not even come close to that of other organized sports. Basket Ball is one the most dangerous organized sports one can play.
